Experience the lush mountain landscapes, pristine coastlines and rich cultures of two Central American nations on this tropical water adventure. In Costa Rica, we'll surf the dramatic coastline of the Nicoya Peninsula, then from the verdant high mountain interior, we'll raft the thrilling whitewater of the legendary Pacuare River. In Belize, aboard our private chartered sailboats we'll sail turquoise Caribbean waters, explore uninhabited islands and snorkel in crystal-clear lagoons, then SCUBA dive into the underwater world of brightly colored fish on the worlds second largest reef.
 Surf Costa Rica's Pacific Coast
Folowing our group flight from Miami, we'll arrive in San Jose, Costa Rica. This tropical paradise is known world wide for its expansive protected land and coastlines filled with tropical birds, butterflies, jaguars, sloths, monkeys and sea turtles. The Nicoya Peninisula, with its consistent breaks is the perfect setting for four days of surfing instruction. From our private campground on the Pacific Coast our instructors will teach us how to read the ocean to catch that perfect break, proper paddling and stance techniques. Zip Line through a Cloud Forest
As we move from the coast to the Pacuare River we'll visit the Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve where we'll experience Costa Rica's jungle canopy on the largest and best Zip Line in Coasta Rica. Our vantage point high over the forest floor is a perfect opportunity to see monkeys, toucans and an abundance of other tropical birds. Raft the Pacuare River
Our next three days are spent rafting on the legendary whitewater of the Pacuare, considered one of the world's finest tropical river experiences. We'll plunge through steep, green-walled canyons with cascading waterfalls and seemingly endless class III and IV rapids, and then hike to spectacular swimming holes in the forest. From our river campsites, we'll enjoy great Costa Rican food then fall asleep to the sounds of this world class river. Sail the Cays of Belize
A short flight from San Jose takes us to Belize City, the capital of Central America's only english speaking country. Aboard our private chartered sailboats, we'll spend a week sailing and snorkeling amidst hundreds of sandy cays in this quiet paradise of turquoise water, coconut palms, expansive beaches and tiny fishing villages. We will anchor each night on deserted islands, feast on a variety of seafood and explore a marine reserve frequented by manatees, dolphins, and hawksbill turtles. SCUBA Dive Belize's Barrier ReefWe'll move offshore to our own private island on the world's second largest barrier reef. During our five-day stay, we'll become certified PADI SCUBA divers, and then on several open water dives we'll explore beautiful underwater canyons and sea caves teeming with colorful tropical fish. Previously certified students may upgrade to advanced SCUBA certification and those choosing not to dive have excellent snorkeling opportunities. We conclude our tropical water adventure with a Belize-style feast before our return flight back to Miami. (All students in our diving program must pass a dive physical and cannot have used an inhaler or suffered from asthma.) For students completing 9th, 10th, 11th, 12th grades, grouped according to age.
