This wonderful Spanish experience offers spectacular hut trekking and camping along the crest of the Pyrenees, with whitewater rafting and inflatable kayaking along our mountain journey. It concludes with three days of sea kayaking along the Costa Brava and two days to explore Barcelona.
 Hike the Pyrenees
After meeting in Barcelona we travel west to the Parc Nacional d’Aiguestortes where we’ll begin our journey along the Pyrenees range. We will average eight to ten miles a day as we travel through Aragon and Catalonia, on our journey over high passes and around dramatic peaks in this lightly traveled countryside. Our route will take us through small mountain villages where we will have opportunities to brush up with our Spanish and experience the cultural life of shepherd - a stark contrast to the fast-moving world as we know it. We will be spending most of our nights camping outside in both established campsites or in the high alpine backcountry. Occasionally we’ll overnight in traditional high mountain huts which will afford us the luxury of a home-cooked meal, a comfortable bed and conversation with other trekkers from around the world. White Water Raft and Inflatable Kayak the Noguera Pallaresa River
As we reach the mid-way point to our trek, we’ll take a break near the town of Sort where we’ll enjoy a change of pace as we spend two days rafting and inflatable kayaking the whitewater of this swift flowing river. Continuing along the final leg of our journey, we will backpack into the the Parque Nacional de Ordesa y Monte Perdido, which contains some of the most dramatic mountain scenery found in the region. Sea Kayak the Costa Brava
At the conclusion of our Pyrenees trek we will be transported to the Costa Brava for three days of sea kayaking along the spectacular cliffs of this Spanish coastline. We’ll sleep each evening on secluded white sand beaches, surrounded by the azure waters of the Mediterranean Sea. Explore BarcelonaAfter being bussed back to Barcelona, our trip concludes with two days of sightseeing in this Spanish Mecca of culture where we’ll visit famous sites and enjoy delicious Spanish food.
