After a summer of scouting the best of the Pacific Northwest from our perspective, we launched Wilderness Experience, our initial but short-lived name. With ten students, all from Cincinnati, we embarked on a 60 day backpacking and white water rafting trip through the Northern Rockies and Pacific Northwest. Besides backpacking in Jasper, Banff and Yoho national parks in Canada, we managed some beautiful overnight trips into Yellowstone, Grand Teton and Olympic national parks in the United States. Our trip also included three days of white water rafting on Oregon's lower Deschutes River and another backpack into Washington's Glacier Peak Wilderness. It was a 10,00 -mile adventure odyssey into superlative environments with a wonderful group of young people.
Our initial catalog of ten pages featured photos from our scouting mission of the previous summer.
