Our 1977 catalog cover featured photos of Mountaineering in Washington, Backpacking in the Glacier Peak Wilderness and white water rafting on Oregon's Deschutes River. It also featured our first logo.
In 1977, our Northwest Expedition was divided into two sections, a larger on of twenty-six students led by us and an additional smaller one of thirteen students, led by seasoned Wilderness ventures leaders and friends Mike Englert and Bonnie Crosky. This year's trip featured a climb of Oregon's Mt. Hood instead of Mt. Rainier and was the only year this trip did not climb Rainier between 1974 and today.
