Our 1982, 10th anniversary catalog cover sported a graphic design from a moose photo taken by Mike in the Hayden Valley of Yellowstone National Park.
This 10th anniversary year marked the most significant changes, not only in our program but in our lives. With the birth of our first son, Christopher, we were no longer leading trips ourselves. For the third year, our Northwest Expedition consisted of three groups of thirty students. Complementing our cornerstone program, we now offered our July and August Rocky Mountain trips, our Six-Week Rocky Mountain trip, our fifty-four day Alaska Expedition now beginning in Seattle, two new Jackson Hole Expeditions, July and August Puget Sound bicycling trips, and our first ever North Cascades Expedition, featuring a summit climb of Glacier Peak.
